The Blind Frog Ranch Story
Why was the ranch named the “Blind Frog Ranch”?
When Duane and Chad finally drilled through to the caverns under the surface at the ranch, they were excited to come back and get in those caverns. The only problem is when they came back to do so, the area was filled with this rich water that had apparently leveled up from a water plate under the land. To their surprise, they found hundreds of FROGS at the surface! But these frogs didn’t seem to move when they tried to coax them away… They only moved once they were touched… as it turns out, these frogs had lived their entire lives in an ecosystem underground, and they cannot see in the sunlight… They are blind! It was then that Duane said, “we should name our ranch Blind Frog Ranch!” The rest is history!
Now, “Benny the Blind Frog” is our Love-able Character representing the frogs you still see many times when going onto the ranch near the ‘pond’. You will find him on our Logo, in our products and as a Photo Opportunity at the Blind Frog Ranch Outpost in Vernal, Utah.
